Annmarie Lanesey, President of Greane Tree Technology, has been invited to participate in the panel “Women in Technology: Where We Are, Where We’re Going.” The panel, co-sponsored by Women@Work and the Times Union, is part of the Capital Region’s first Tech Career Expo. The Expo will be held on Monday, September 10, from 2 to 7 pm, at the University at Albany’s SEFCU Arena. The Women in Technology panel starts at 4:30 pm. It is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
The panel will feature strategies for overcoming obstacles to women’s participation in the technology field; advice on developing in-demand skills and creating career opportunities; exploration of the importance of mentorships for women in technology; and opportunities to network with technology peers and professionals.
Annmarie is a long-time advocate for increasing the participation and profile of women in technology. She will be joined on the panel by Jennifer Goodall, Director, College of Computing and Information Women in Technology at the University at Albany; Farah Tuten, Sr. Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, Global Foundries Fab 8; Diana Wall, HR Business Partner for the Automotive Business, Marketing Function, and Technology & Innovation Function, SABIC; and Janet Reynolds, Executive Editor, Capital Region Women@Work.
