"In early 2011 our most popular web property (Gamebattles.com) wasn't delivering the type of user experience we expect for our users. The technology was over a decade old, and our internal team didn't have the resources to rebuild this site in addition to meeting commitments for launching new properties. In the hopes of solving this problem, we contracted with Greane Tree Technology to update the technology behind Gamebattles and help us hire and train a new dev team to maintain the property going forward.
Originally we planned on a three month contract. When three months were up we extended another three months. When six months were over we extended to nine. It's now ten months later and we're finally concluding our engagement; we couldn't be happier. From the technical perspective Joe implemented modern testing techniques, major user facing features, new data stores, and refactored thousands of LOC. In addition he instilled the best parts of his expertise and processes in the team he helped hire. They are easily the best team we've ever had working on this property.
I couldn't be happier at the results of our relationship with Greane Tree Technology. Hiring them to work on GB sparked the biggest changes that this property has experienced in 5 years. Joseph Payette, Greane Tree's CTO, is intelligent, professional, and cares deeply about the needs of his customers.
