    Joseph Payette Jr., Greane Tree Technology Group's Chief Technology Officer, will facilitate a round table discussion on Open Source software solutions available to small businesses. The roundtable discussion will be part of Solo Entrepreneur's Forum of the Small Business Council at the Albany Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce. Open Source projects to be discussed will be OpenOffice.org, Gimp, Drupal, Joomla + more.

    Annmarie Lanesey, Greane Tree Technology Group's Chief Operating Officer, spoke to an energized audience of entrepreneurs at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship. The talk on Open Source Software initiatives available to entrepreneurs was part of the Severino Center's Woman's Coffee House, a informal gathering providing women with a nonbusiness-like atmosphere for candid conversation to flow.

    Greane Tree Technology Group, LLC was honored to be featured in the award video for Nehme Frangie, VP of Relations for Vicarious Vision at the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce's annual gala. Frangie was given the Spirit of the Chamber Award, which is presented to an individual whose dedicated service and efforts have brought credit to the Chamber and enhanced the Chamber’s standing in the community. Frangie's Albany based company Vicarious Visions is a creator of video and computer games, is comprised of highly creative talent from around the globe.

    “Frangie spoke at length about his journey as a young entrepreneur and the support by many he had along the way. What was the most compelling to me was how he has chosen to repay all those who have helped him is through a personal commitment to paying it forward," says Lynne Allard of The Foundry for Art Design + Culture.

    Greane Tree shares tips on Saving Money on IT budgets on the Albany – Colonie Regional Chamber's podcast series

    Although we are optimistic that the economic climate may begin to get a little warmer soon, Greane Tree shared some tips on how to save small businesses money on their IT infrastructure and budget for the Albany-Colobie Regional Chamber's Podcast Series. We’ve found that many small businesses do not fully understand their technical and IT infrastructure needs and often make technology decisions that may not always be the “best fit” or most cost effective solution for their size of business or computing and data needs. There are interesting ways to save on IT budgets that many may not have considered.

    Greane Tree's Chief Operating Officer joins Board of Directors of Animal Protective Foundation

    Greane Tree Technology Group, LLC is proud to announce Annmarie Lanesey, Chief Operating Officer has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) in Scotia, NY. APF's mission continues to be to address pet overpopulation and animal suffering, enhance human/animal relationships, and provide care to animals in need. Through its numerous outreach programs, APF provides valuable support to the community. In addition to its primary sheltering and adoption services, the APF offers dog training classes, humane education, stray housing for several municipalities, support for animal cruelty cases, and various special events, including the Fireplug 500 Walk for Animals. The APF celebrated its 75th year of operation in 2006.

    Greane Tree Technology Group, LLC is proud to announce its placement in the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce’s business competition. Sixteen Capital Region businesses competed in the competition of the Chamber's Entrepreneur Program. Prizes included $1000 cash sponsored by First Niagara Bank, a new printer/ scanner/ fax system from Repeat Business Systems, as well as a one year membership to the chamber. Nehme Frangie, vice president of partnerships and operations at Vicarious Visions in Menands –– the company that created such popular games as “Guitar Hero,” “Spider-Man” and “Tony Hawk” –– was the keynote speaker and inspired the businesses to forge ahead despite the current state of the economy. Honorable Michael Breslin, Albany County Executive, and Mark Eagan, Chamber president & CEO, also addressed the EAP graduates. The program was supported by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, Empire State Development Corporation, and the Small Business Administration.
